Your design, made in the US with world-class ingredients.
Jellybeans on us!
On most boards, the majority of your parts list is resistors and capacitors. We supply every one of them from our stock, for free! You only source the ICs and connectors that make your board yours. Other assemblers make you source every line; we take the jellybeans off your BOM. What's in the jar →
Jellybeans on us
Every resistor and capacitor comes from our stock, from brands we'd put on our own boards. We handle the jellybean supply chain, so shortages, minimums and reorders are our problem, not yours. See the brands →
Made in the US
Every board is assembled and inspected here in the US.
Published rates
Count your parts and pins and you know your price. No quote to wait on.
Lightning-fast assembly
No quoting back-and-forth and no waiting on parts we have to buy. Your build starts the moment your kit is complete.
Top-secret designs
No ghost shift counterfeits here. Choose our Secret PCBA package and send only the surface layers we assemble to: no copper, no routing, no drill data.
How a build works
We cover the dozens of small parts. You send the few that make your board yours. A 150-part board typically needs a cart of about 40 parts, not 150.
Request a build
Upload your BOM, pick-and-place (CPL) file and Gerbers, or choose our Secret PCBA package and keep your copper to yourself. We price them instantly and you pay online, so your build number is ready the moment you check out.
Send your ICs and boards
We send you a short cart with just your ICs and other non-passive parts, extras included. Ship them and your bare boards to us with your build number on the order.
We check in your kit
Every package is logged against your build. When the last part arrives and checks out, your kit is complete and your build date is set.
We build and ship
Assembled, inspected boards come back to you along with any of your parts left over.
What to send
Only the parts we don't stock, ready for the machines. The cart we send you takes care of most of this.
- ICs and other active parts. Chips, inductors, transistors, diodes, LEDs, connectors and anything else that isn't a resistor, capacitor or ferrite bead.
- On tape or reels. Cut tape is fine as long as it's one continuous strip. Loose parts can't go on the machines.
- A few extras of each. Machines drop and reject a small number. Your cart already includes them.
- Moisture-sensitive chips sealed. Leave them in their original sealed bag with the desiccant.
- Bare boards from your fab. Order them from any board house and ship them straight to us.
- Your build number on everything. Put it in the order reference or PO field so we can match each package.
Is CopperPCB right for you?
We keep things simple on purpose. Here's who that suits.
A good fit if you
- Build prototypes or small production runs
- Want a price you can work out from your parts list
- Would rather not buy strips of every resistor value
- Order bare boards from an overseas fab and want assembly closer to home
- Design with 0201 and larger parts
A full-service shop may suit you better if you
- Want someone else to find and buy your ICs
- Need 0201 or smaller parts
- Are running thousands of boards per order
- Need enclosures, cabling and full product assembly
Questions

How do you count parts and pins?
Every surface-mount part on a board is one placement, including the free jellybeans. Every through-hole pin we solder is one joint. Setup is charged once per order for each unique part number on your parts list, plus a small per-board charge when your board has through-hole pins.
What counts as a passive?
Resistors, capacitors and ferrite beads in 0201 and larger. Those come from our stock. Everything else, including ICs, inductors, transistors, diodes, LEDs and connectors, you send us.
What if a passive needs a specific part number?
Mark it on your parts list when you place your order. We'll confirm whether we stock it or whether you should add it to your cart.
Can you place 01005 or smaller parts?
No. The smallest part we place is 0201.
What if a part is missing or wrong when my kit arrives?
We tell you the same day we find it, with exactly what's short. Your build date is set once the kit is complete, so nothing starts until everything is here.
What happens to leftover parts?
Any of your parts left over ship back with your boards.
How long does a build take?
Your build date is set the day your kit is complete, and we confirm it by email.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. Ask when you request your build and we'll send one before you send files.
Request a build
Attach your assembly files and tell us about your board. We read your BOM and pick-and-place file, show you an itemized price to review, and then you pay on a secure Stripe page. Your build number and your cart of ICs to order follow by email.
Your files are only seen by the people building your order.
Secret PCBA package
Because you send us bare boards, we don't need to know how they're routed. A secret package has only what assembly touches:
- BOM and CPL, with your fiducials listed in the CPL as if they were parts
- Paste layers (.GTP / .GBP) to cut the stencil
- Silkscreen layers (.GTO / .GBO) so we can check polarity
- An assembly drawing PDF, if you have one
No copper, inner layers or drill files. Boards in a panel? Send a panelized CPL that includes the panel fiducials.
